Welcome to the PLC Sports Rec Hockey World Cup 2027
Tournament Information
PLC Sports is pleased to welcome you to the PLC Sports Rec Hockey World Cup, an international recreational ice hockey tournament designed to bring teams from around the world together in the true Olympic spirit of sportsmanship, camaraderie, and competitive play.
The tournament will take place April 22–25, 2027, at the Susan Fennell Sportsplex in Brampton, Ontario, Canada. The facility features four ice rinks, allowing for a well-organized and efficient tournament schedule.
Tournament Divisions
This is a recreational (hobby) hockey tournament offering the following divisions:
- 40+, 50+, 60+, 70+
- Club Division (teams with players of mixed ages over 25) (Competitive Division)
- Rec Division (teams with players of mixed ages over 25) (Recreational Division)
- 8 Teams per division. 4 North American Teams and 4 European Teams.
Each team is guaranteed a minimum of five (5) games during the tournament.
Game Format
- Games are 60 minutes in duration.
- Each team will receive a 5-minute warm-up.
- All games are officiated by two referees and include a scorekeeper.
- Live statistics, standings, and results will be updated throughout the tournament on the official tournament website.
- Each division will consist of eight (8) teams:
- Four (4) European teams
- Four (4) North American teams
Awards & Recognition
Each division will feature the following awards:
- Gold, Silver, and Bronze Medals
- Championship Cup and Banner for division champions
- Individual awards:
- Top Scorer
- Best Defenceman
- Best Goalie
- Best Sportsmanship
- Player of the Game awards presented to one player from each team after all games are completed

EXTENDED TOUR FOR ALL INTERNATIONAL TEAMS!
If you would like to extend your visit to Canada, PLC Sports Travel has got you covered. PLC Sports Travel has an exciting itinerary planned for all teams looking to experience some of Canada’s most iconic sites and play a little hockey along the way. After the tournament wraps up, the team will head to Niagara Falls for a visit to the iconic falls with a stop in Niagara on the Lake. Enjoy the day and all the sights in the Falls and then head back for 1 more night in the GTA. (Greater Toronto Area). On Tuesday April 27th it’s on to Kingston, Ontario for lunch and an exhibition game in the afternoon. Drinks and dinner after the game and a night at a local hotel. On Wednesday it’s off to Canada’s capital city, Ottawa. Local sightseeing today with a group dinner in the evening. Thursday starts off with some local sightseeing and shopping and after lunch an exhibition game and then dinner with a local team. Friday morning we transfer to Montreal, Quebec for some sightseeing and some Poutine! On Saturday an exhibition game or a mini-tournament will be arranged. A good bye dinner will wrap up an amazing Canadian experience! Hoe on Sunday May 2nd.
